A few days before the opening of the NHL training camps, the free agent market is picking up.

Today, no fewer than five notable players have found teams.
Five players who have signed a professional tryout.
Here they are:
- Nick Ritchie signed with the St. Louis Blues.
- Brett Ritchie signed with the Florida Panthers.
- Zach Aston-Reese signed with the Carolina Hurricanes.
- Josh Bailey signed with the Ottawa Senators.
The last one caught us by surprise, as he had practically announced his retirement from the NHL in the past few days. To be continued!
We wish them the best of luck in securing positions.

The Canadiens see one of their former players trying their luck in Pittsburgh

Finally, a special mention to a fifth player who signed a professional tryout contract today, a former member of the Montreal Canadiens organization.
Former Rocket player Peter Abbandonato has indeed been invited to the Pittsburgh Penguins training camp, as reported by Anthony Marcotte! Solid!
Abbandonato, 25 years old and a native of Laval, is a 5 foot 10 inch, 194 pound forward. He racked up a solid 46 points in 66 games with the Rocket last season. (111 points in his last junior season)
We will be keeping an eye on him in Pittsburgh!
