The opportunity that Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens have been waiting for over a month may finally be presenting itself.

See what the renowned Frank Seravalli just posted.
"The Avalanche is looking at options on the trade market for a goaltender. I'm told that Pavel Francouz has not fully recovered from his adductor surgery during the offseason and there are fears that he might not be healthy to start the season.

Francouz only made 16 starts for the Avalanche last season."

Boom! A team is now looking for a goaltender, and moreover, it is a team with which Kent Hughes and the Habs have a strong trading history and a very good relationship.
Don't be surprised if Casey DeSmith is traded to the Avalanche in the next few hours.
