Justin Barron's Brother Signs an NHL Contract
In the last few seconds, the Winnipeg Jets announced the signing of forward Morgan Barron.
"Morgan Barron and Winnipeg have a deal: 2x1.35 million dollars," said Elliotte Friedman.
Both parties have avoided arbitration, and the Jets have secured the services of an extremely hardworking and dedicated forward.
It's a strong move for their team culture.
Barron, 24 years old, comes from Halifax and is indeed the older brother of defenseman Justin Barron.
He tallied 21 points in 70 games last season with the Jets, but he brings much more to the team than what his stats show.
One notable moment was when he returned to the game after taking a skate blade to the face. With 75 stitches, he was already back on the ice. A true warrior!
As you can see from the comments, fans are very happy for him and delighted with this agreement.
