With the Habs training camp starting in about a month, Kent Hughes' job is not yet done to settle all the issues within the organization.

Among them, Kirby Dach and Cayden Primeau's contracts still need to be settled and Hughes also needs to evaluate all of his prospects for the upcoming season. If some of them have a more than certain future with the Canadiens, there are others for whom it is slightly different and the Habs' GM will have to make choices eventually.
And Hughes may very well get some help from other teams and as reported by J.B. Gagné of GoHabsGo, a prospect somewhat overlooked by Canadiens fans is reportedly of interest to some teams in the NHL.
Jimmy Murphy, of Montreal Hockey Now, mentioned that Kent Hughes is reportedly currently receiving calls on American defenseman Jayden Struble, who played for Northeastern University in 2021-2022.
"I can tell you that in many conversations with NHL scouts, Struble has been mentioned in discussions for (upcoming) trades because scouts really like him."

A second-round pick of the Habs in 2019, Struble had 14 points in 34 games last year and some observers praised his work ethic and also the fact that he's in a class of his own when it comes to fitness.
Despite all that, he doesn't seem to be one of the organization's young defensemen to land a spot with the team in 2022-2023 and with the likes of Guhle, Harris and Mailloux around, it could very well be that Hughes will be tempted to trade him to another organization.
