In the last few hours, even though we are in the middle of August, there has been a lot of action for the Montreal Canadiens, notably with the acquisition of Sean Monahan and with the major news concerning Carey Price.

In addition, we would finally know the two finalists for the title of next CH captain:
It's a big deal!
In short, following the acquisition of Sean Monahan, most observers and fans immediately concluded that another trade was imminent.
The question was asked to general manager Kent Hughes during a press conference, and he gave a clear but interesting answer.
"Hughes tells us that no other trade is imminent, at this time, to give himself additional space under the salary cap. He is able to take Monahan's contract because Carey Price's name will be placed on the long-term injured list. The news is discouraging about him. The injections haven't helped." - John Lu (TSN), reporting Kent Hughes

However, after that, he didn't want to get too far ahead of himself about the possibility of any other trades before the season starts.
Clearly, the team has plenty of forwards (and especially, center players).
Now that Lou Lamoriello has dropped Nazem Kadri (a center), is a Christian Dvorak vs Anthony Beauvillier trade possible? Many are wondering.
Knowing Hughes and considering his vague (but interesting) answer, no one would be surprised if he makes another major trade in the next few weeks.
Dvorak, Joel Armia and Mike Hoffman are players that could leave.
We'll keep you posted!
