In this catastrophic season for the Montreal Canadiens, there are several negative points that can be listed. The defense is porous, the offense struggles to score three goals per game, in short, you have a lot of choices.

However, if there is one player that can be named as the biggest disappointment after a quarter of the season, it is Jeff Petry.

Following a remarkable season last year with 42 points, expectations were high for the American because of the absence of captain Shea Weber.

After 25 games, the 34-year-old has only two assists and a -4 rating, but Petry scored 12 goals last year, good for third among NHL defensemen.

Currently sidelined with an upper body injury, the former second round pick of the Oilers in 2006 has missed the last three games.

While nothing is going right for the Tricolore's number one defenseman, Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen added another layer last night against the Flames.

The goalie took advantage of the overtime to collect his third assist of the year in 18 games. You guessed it, the goaltender has more points than Jeff Petry with seven games less.

When we say that nothing goes according to plan for the Tricolore, this is another example. Anyway, is it time to think about Shane Wright?
