But there are other issues that are generating a lot of interest among Canadiens fans and one of them is certainly the trade rumors concerning forward Josh Anderson.
As reported by my colleague Keven Mawn of Fanadiens.com, one of those rumors involves a possible trade with the New York Islanders involving the 13th overall pick. Informant Marco D'Amico was on 91.9 Sports to discuss this.
According to him, if a trade were to occur involving the Canadiens' forward and the Islanders' 13th overall pick, it would happen on the draft floor.
However, a very talented player would have to be available at that rank for Kent Hughes to agree to make a move.
Obviously this is all rumor and speculation, but it's interesting to see that the Habs forward is attracting interest from other general managers around the league.
However, as has been mentioned over the past few days, Kent Hughes is reportedly asking for the moon to get rid of his power forward. Furthermore, Anderson has shown a lot of leadership in the locker room in the final weeks of the season and his name has even been circulated as a future team captain.
So, barring a stellar offer, it's highly likely that #17 will be in his position for the start of the Habs' training camp this September.
