According to Renaud Lavoie, the Quebec government has decided that all sporting events in the province will be closed to the public, including professional and minor events. This directive will be effective as of 5:00 pm tonight.
Recall that the government had decided to reduce the capacity of people to 50%, a few days earlier. However, it would have decided to reduce it to zero, because of the amount of cases that exploded in the province recently.
Geoff Molson must not particularly like this directive from the government, given all the money he will lose in the next few days, if not weeks. With no fans in the stands, it's going to hurt his wallet, considering his product isn't really interesting this year...
