The Montreal Canadiens are currently on hiatus as activities have been halted until December 27th. However, that doesn't mean that Jeff Gorton and Geoff Molson aren't working.
The two men need to hire some people to fill some positions in the hockey organization, like the next general manager, for example. So far, nothing is circulating on this subject because everything seems to be done in the greatest of silences.
There are names that have been circulated extensively, such as Patrick Roy, but in fact, no information on this subject has leaked from the Montreal Canadiens.
The last thing a reputable journalist filed, Jeff Marek, is that the CH would be actively in the action to hire a woman or women to fill important positions.
"Montreal is aggressively looking to hire more women in their organization, I think that will be part of the change with the Montreal Canadiens," said Marek.
Molson made it clear after the firings of Marc Bergevin and Trevor Timmins that he wants more diversity on his team. This information shows that Molson's wishes should come true.
