Patrick Roy has sent a very strong message to Geoff Molson and the Montreal Canadiens organization. He wants to come home and show what he can do with this club, while working in conjunction with Jeff Gorton. He's ready for that. He wants that. But it looks like his name is still not very popular with Geoff Molson...

Moreover, during the podcast "La Dose", hosted by JP Bertrand, Renaud Lavoie confirmed what we all believed, Patrick Roy is not on the list of candidates for the Montreal Canadiens at this time.

"As we speak, Patrick Roy is not on the Habs' roster!" said Lavoie.

Many want the 33 back home, but the one who will decide if it's time for him to come back is Jeff Gorton and not Geoff Molson. So, the chances of it happening are pretty slim, if you ask me.

For all intents and purposes, since Roy's departure from Colorado, he's never had a real chance to return to the National Hockey League, so his name in the league's backrooms isn't as popular as the legend may indicate.
