BREAKING: Reinforcement to Arrive in the Canadiens' Lineup, and It's Confirmed for 31-Year-Old Forward Tanner Pearson
It was slightly overshadowed by the big mid-season press conference of General Manager Kent Hughes, which took place earlier today, but there was big news at the Habs' morning practice.
Don't be surprised if Joshua Roy is soon sent back to the Laval Rocket, because reinforcements will soon be arriving in Martin St-Louis' lineup.
Tanner Pearson practiced with his teammates for the first time in over a month!
The veteran is indeed very close to returning to play. He won't be in uniform tonight, but he could be for the next game.
«Tanner Pearson skated with his teammates this morning for the optional practice. It's a first since December 9th when he fractured a finger in Buffalo.» - Via Renaud Lavoie, TVA Sports
There were also clear signs yesterday, as he took to the ice:
«Tanner Pearson is approaching a return to play. Here he is on the ice this morning before the practice session.
He has been out since December 9th (upper body).» - Patrick Friolet, RDS
Pearson, 31 years old, has accumulated 8 points (4 goals) in 27 games this season. He earns 3.25 million per year.
Details to follow.
