The Ottawa Senators have claimed forward Adam Gaudette from the Chicago Blackhawks.
At the same time, Pierre Dorion put the name of goaltender Matt Murray on waivers.
Ottawa is on the move!
The Senators were the first to decide if they wanted Gaudette or not. Obviously, they did not miss such an opportunity to acquire the services of a young talented center. It was a great catch for Pierre Dorion, who was looking to improve his center line.
As for Matt Murray, he was expected to be placed on waivers since yesterday. No surprise here. It would be very surprising if he found a buyer with his contract of $6.250 million per season until 2024.
