The CH won last night's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins by a score of 6-3. However, that's not what's going to attract the attention of fans in the next few hours. A lot of action is expected in the Habs' organization chart.
It all started last night with the resignation of Scott Mellanby, Marc Bergevin's right-hand man, who was hired in 2012 by the latter. It seems that he slammed the door because he was not considered in the hiring process to become the next general manager or president of hockey operations.
Then, we learn that the Tricolore made the request to discuss with the former general manager of the Rangers, Jeff Gorton. Moreover, this request has been authorized. So we can expect a lot of action in Montreal in the coming hours.
Obviously, in the list of candidates, there is the name of the former CH and Avalanche goalie, Patrick Roy. There is also Roberto Luongo and Mathieu Darche who are currently working for the Panthers and the Lightning respectively.
