We have some waiver action in the National Hockey League today, as some fairly interesting players are available for free.

It's worth noting that Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens hold the 16th pick, or 16th claim order, when it comes to selecting players off waivers at no cost.
Speaking of claims, it should be mentioned right away that the Tampa Bay Lightning have claimed goaltender Pheonix Copley (from the Los Angeles Kings) today.
I wonder what this means regarding the lingering injury to Andrei Vasilevskiy.

A few interesting names for the Montreal Canadiens are available on waivers: will Kent Hughes be tempted?
Here's the full list of today's waivers:
Full details on PuckPedia, but there are indeed a few names that stand out.
Notably: Quebec native Raphaël Lavoie, defenseman Sebastian Aho, veteran Danton Heinen, 9th overall pick Vitali Kravtsov, former Canadien Mitchell Stephens, and young offensive defenseman Scott Perunovich.
Lavoie, 25, recorded 27 points in 42 AHL games last season and also played 9 NHL games.
Aho, 29, is a defenseman who collected 9 points in 58 NHL games last season.
Heinen, 30, tallied 11 points in 28 games last season with the Pittsburgh Penguins and has 241 career NHL points.
Definitely a situation to keep an eye on tomorrow!
