New surprise announcement from the Oilers about Corey Perry
What a turnaround for the former Montreal Canadien forward, Corey Perry, with the Edmonton Oilers.
Let's remember that a few months ago, following the saga with the Chicago Blackhawks, many experts believed Perry had played his last game in the NHL.
Many observers thought it was completely over for him.
But today, a few weeks later, the Edmonton Oilers (one of the best teams in the entire NHL) have just sent him to their top 6 forwards. Wow!
"Corey Perry is wearing a white jersey today, a jersey reserved for players used in the top two lines, at morning practice.
Foegele with the blue jersey of the 3rd and 4th line players." - Tony Brar, Edmonton journalist
He is incredible! He continues to defy and re-defy the experts' predictions, this Corey Perry.
Perry, 38 years old, 6 feet 3 inches and 210 pounds, has accumulated 18 points this season, including 10 goals, despite a long absence following the termination of his contract by the Chicago Blackhawks.
In the next game, he will play with Leon Draisaitl and/or Connor McDavid.
In April 2024, a few weeks before the start of the NHL playoffs, Corey Perry is a top 6 player on one of the league's best teams.
Really impressive.
