Boone Jenner has just announced the terrible death of his son

A terrible piece of news has just emerged in the world of hockey, involving Blue Jackets forward Boone Jenner and his wife Maggie.

A tragedy.

Through an official statement, the Blue Jackets announced that Maggie Jenner has given birth to a baby boy in the past few days, but the child has passed away.

They specifically mentioned a stillborn child, which is heartbreakingly sad to read and write about.


The baby boy was named Dawson and he was the couple's first child. I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult this ordeal must be to endure.

The story does not mention whether Boone Jenner will return to play before the end of the season, but let's admit that at this point, it really, truly doesn't matter.
