In his second season in the NHL, Cole Caufield is literally blossoming. His solid performances sometimes make us forget that number 22 is only 21 years old. Already, he is establishing himself as an elite player in the NHL.
While many critics at the time of his draft called Caufield only a power play specialist and that it might be difficult for him to score other than with the man advantage, the opposite seems to be happening now.
In fact, among the top 5-on-5 scorers, the 21-year-old winger ranks fourth with six goals and five assists for a total of 11 points.
Take a second to imagine, when the Tricolore can finally get a power play with a normal 20 percent efficiency, how the CH's young star is likely to produce.
