We could be in for a very busy day today with the Montreal Canadiens.

It's finally September 1st, Carey Price's last big bonus has been paid, and a trade for Price is reportedly underway involving three teams.
Well, this morning, there's an update!

It Could Be the San Jose Sharks for Carey Price and the Montreal Canadiens

At least, there's a lot of smoke pointing that way today!
Marco D'Amico: Regarding the Carey Price trade:

"Sources have heard the most amount of noise around the San Jose Sharks"; "Acquiring a contract like Price's would give them the necessary insurance to trade.. higher priced players without dipping under the salary cap floor"

- RG

Of course, we're still waiting for the final and official confirmation, but don't be surprised if the Montreal Canadiens announce a trade with the San Jose Sharks today involving Carey Price's contract.
"A lot of smoke around the Sharks, but nothing is done." - Nicolas Cloutier
Last night may very well have been Carey Price's final evening as an official member of the Montreal Canadiens, which is pretty special when you think about it.
This is definitely a story to follow closely today!
Carey Price, now 38 years old, played 712 career games in the National Hockey League, all with the Montreal Canadiens, posting a 2.51 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage (with a record of 361-261-79).
