Kent Hughes Expected to Make Another Big Trade Following Carey Price Deal
Now that the Carey Price situation seems to be settled, the focus shifts to this second trade that could be announced by the Canadiens.
For the past few days, numerous sources and insiders have been extremely clear:
Today, all of this is becoming clearer and clearer.
We have an update on this second trade that could be announced by the Montreal Canadiens, immediately after moving Carey Price
The excellent Marco D'Amico has just made it clear.. The Price contract trade will immediately open the door to another deal.
"The Canadiens are trading Price's contract to open themselves to the possibility of another trade."
Timing on that is TBD.

So, we learn several interesting things here about this second trade to watch closely, immediately after the one involving Carey Price:

It would be quite a complex transaction.
Jared McCann, age 29, is a 6-foot-1, 191-pound forward who recorded 61 points in 82 games last season.
He scored 29 and 40 goals in the two previous campaigns He's really excellent.
McCann is signed through 2027 and makes $5 million per year, which is truly a bargain for him!
