The journalist Eric Engels, from Sportsnet, has probably just published the most important interview in a while.
It's the first interview this season with none other than the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes.
Well then.. What does Kent Hughes think about it?
We have his answer on the matter.
Kent Hughes confirms he is absolutely open to trading Carey Price's contract, but only on one condition
The trade must make sense for the Montreal Canadiens, and also for the other club involved with Hughes.
In short, Hughes is not going to force the issue and he does not feel obligated to trade Carey Price, but he will do it under the right conditions.
"We're fine, we don't have to trade Carey Price," he added. "If we can find a trade to move his contract that makes sense for us and makes sense for another team, we'll pursue it. But we don't have to."

The next few weeks will be very interesting!
