For the past few hours, there's been a lot of smoke around a trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the San Jose Sharks involving Carey Price.

The reasons are well explained in the article above, but in short, in order to take on Price's contract, the Sharks will have to include another contract (an AHL player or otherwise).
So there will be at least two players involved in this trade, if it happens, of course.
On that note, we have just received an important confirmation, thanks to the excellent work of Marco D'Amico.

Marco D'Amico has confirmed that a trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the San Jose Sharks, notably involving Carey Price, has been discussed

Kent Hughes is therefore seriously working on this matter.
"This doesn't mean a deal between both parties is assured.

But, we have confirmation that they've talked and the fit is pretty obvious, beyond the noted cap benefit.

I have been stressed from sources that no deal has been concluded."

So, it's being worked on behind the scenes, but nothing is settled yet!
We really expect Carey Price's contract to be traded in the coming hours, which could allow Kent Hughes to gain important flexibility in view of a possible second trade, this time to add a top-6 forward.
