Buffalo reveals the Habs player they want in exchange for their 11th pick
We have just learned that the Buffalo Sabres have put their 11th overall pick on the trade market, and we now know which Canadiens player they want.
Unfortunately, even though the idea of having two top-11 picks in the first round is intriguing, we can forget about it.
The Sabres' demands for their 11th overall pick have just been revealed, and it doesn't align at all with what Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are looking to achieve in a transaction.
In fact, the Sabres are looking for exactly what the Canadiens are searching for on the trade market. (both clubs want the same thing)
«Not only does the Canadiens not have what the Sabres are looking for in exchange for their 11th overall pick, but additionally, they want to add the same type of piece that Kent Hughes is looking for.
This could complicate KH's work since he doesn't have an 11th overall pick to offer. To be continued!» - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin
«Confirming that the New Jersey Devils' 10th pick and Buffalo Sabres' 11th pick are both available on the trade market, Elliotte Friedman states that Buffalo is seeking a top-6 impact forward.»
In summary, from the Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo wants an Alex Newhook or a Kirby Dach, and it's certain that Kent Hughes won't make that kind of trade.
However, the 10th overall pick of the New Jersey Devils remains an option and is still very interesting.
More details to follow.
