Because there have been serious trade rumors involving him this summer, because experts made us dream by sending him to Montreal, and because Martin St-Louis could greatly benefit from an additional potentially elite forward, we continue to dream about Trevor Zegras.

This summer, there seemed to be real signs that his days in Anaheim were numbered, and for a reason that's hard to understand, the Ducks don't seem to value him that much.
They seem to be betting on Mason McTavish and Leo Carlsson to be their future centermen.
In short, we just wanted to tell you about what's happening (again) right now between the Ducks and Trevor Zegras.
According to sources, the Anaheim Ducks are really not pleased with Trevor Zegras this season, and in the last game, they took action.

Zegras was benched for half the game. Zegras's effort level has been heavily criticized, and according to them, he's making very poor decisions all over the ice.

His defensive play has never been strong, but now, according to them, it's even worse because he's not producing there anymore.

Anaheim's new coach, Greg Cronin, made it very clear early on to Zegras that his play is not acceptable.

There's still a lot of activity in this file! It reminds us of a certain Pierre-Luc Dubois.
In short, it would be really interesting for Kent Hughes and the Canadiens to give the Ducks a quick call, to try and reunite Zegras with his best friend Cole Caufield!
Imagine the scenario! We can always dream, but one thing's for sure, Zegras doesn't seem to be untouchable in Anaheim and could very likely be traded with the right offer.
Something to keep in mind, especially if things continue to deteriorate between Zegras and the Ducks.
Zegras, 22 years old, racked up 65 points in 81 games last season and 61 points in 75 games the previous year. He has 1 point in 6 games this season, after signing a contract for 5.75 million dollars, valid until 2026.
