The Canadiens have just announced a change; a decision has finally been made

Despite his good performance against the powerful New Jersey Devils, goaltender Cayden Primeau has been removed from the starting lineup in favor of Samuel Montembeault.

That's it! Note that Primeau remains with the team and has not yet been placed on waivers, even though it's a possibility currently being discussed.
