To clear cap space, likely in anticipation of a trade involving Patrick Kane, the Rangers have placed forward Leschyshyn on waivers.

Also on waivers today in the NHL are the Toronto Maple Leafs, who have made a player well-known to Montreal Canadiens fans available for free. Veteran defenseman Jordie Benn is now up for grabs.
Finally, the Boston Bruins have put Lettieri on waivers in the past few hours.
In 35 games this season with the Vegas Golden Knights and New York Rangers, Leschyshyn has not collected a single point. However, he is only 23 years old and has been productive in the AHL.
As for Benn, he has scored two points in 12 games with Toronto, while Lettieri has obtained 37 in 41 games in the American League (10 points in 31 games in the NHL last season).
