In the last few seconds, obviously in preparation for the acquisition of Patrick Kane and to make room under the salary cap, the New York Rangers traded (gave?) young Vitali Kravtsov to the Vancouver Canucks.

- William Lockwood (RW)
- 2026 7th round pick

This puts an end to the many speculations involving Kravtsov, Jeff Gorton and the Montreal Canadiens.
