Major: we finally know who the Oilers would be willing to trade to the Canadiens for a goaltender
There is currently a big story with the Edmonton Oilers.
According to several very solid sources, they are officially trading their young defenseman
Philip Broberg, drafted 8th overall in 2019.
Proof that it's serious, the young Broberg even has permission to work himself to find a trade.
"Understand the Oilers granted permission for Philip Broberg's camp to seek a trade. Sounds like there has been solid interest on that front.
Edmonton isn't interested in getting a pick back, they'd like a player. So you'll have to likely find a player in a similar situation.»

Interesting! We also know, of course, that the Oilers want to conclude a trade to get reinforcement in front of the net, and we also know that many rumors have linked them to the Montreal Canadiens and
Jake Allen.
In fact, the GMs of the Canadiens and the Oilers recently discussed concluding a trade.
Could Broberg therefore be Edmonton's trade currency to come get Jake Allen (or
Cayden Primeau) from the Habs?
Broberg, 22 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 212-pound defenseman who was drafted 8th overall (1st round) in 2019 by the Oilers.
He has amassed 30 points in 42 AHL games, a solid haul for a young rear-guard, and 11 points in 79 NHL games.
