In the ever-interesting podcast "32 Thoughts" by renowned Sportsnet analysts Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek, they discussed the upcoming 2023 NHL Draft. One particular statement caught our attention, as Marek suggested a possibility that would be a real game-changer.

"Monitor the Ducks in Matvei Michkov's folder too, they who have the second overall pick next week. I'm not saying it will happen for sure, but it is possible.

I've talked to people in the know, and they reminded me that Pat Verbeek (the Ducks' GM) comes from Steve Yzerman's school.."
