Breaking news: A star defenseman has just had his contract bought out
Elliotte Friedman just dropped a bombshell by mentioning that the Vancouver Canucks are going to buy out the contract of Swedish defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson. He still had four seasons remaining on his contract, with an annual salary of $8.25 million. Therefore, he will become a free agent and will be able to test the free agency market on July 1st.
