We currently have serious reasons to believe that forward Patrick Kane will soon be traded to the New York Rangers.
At one point, we even thought it was going to happen last night:
"According to a trusted source, the Rangers are working hard to construct a trade involving forward Patrick Kane.
[...]
I'm told that Kane to the Rangers is happening." - Stefen Rosner
Let's also remember that last night, the New York Rangers notably removed Vitali Kravtsov, their promising young forward, ostensibly to protect him for a trade.
Now, if we take this information into consideration, here is a trade proposal that is circulating a lot and that would make sense.
Many of you have asked us for an entertaining trade proposal involving Kane and the CH, so here it is.
Must read on HabsFanatics
To the Rangers:
Patrick Kane (At 25% pay)
Jayden Struble
to the Blackhawks:
Brennan Othmann
Zac Jones
A 2023 first round pick
50% of Kane's contract in salary deduction
to the Montreal Canadiens:
Vitali Kravtsov
25% of Kane's contract in salary deduction
.
We must once again remind you that this is absolutely not a founded trade rumor, it is simply a trade proposal to entertain, exchange with you, and get your opinion on the subject.
However, this trade proposal was based on some credible rumors. (Kane to the Rangers, Kravtsov to Montreal, and the CH involved in a three-way trade to retain salary)
Kravtsov, 23, was drafted 9th overall - first round - in the 2018 NHL Draft by Jeff Gorton and the New York Rangers.
He has 10 points, including 5 goals, in 48 career NHL games. In his most recent stint in the KHL, in 2021-22, he had 23 points (13 goals) in about 30 games.
