We have a major development regarding the five players from Canada's 2018 World Junior Team, and especially concerning goaltender Carter Hart.
It could even happen immediately, and the Edmonton Oilers have just been linked to the situation.
A strong rumor suggests Carter Hart could return to the NHL very soon
In fact, Eric Macramalla (TSN) is absolutely convinced.
"Carter Hart will play in the NHL. I have no doubt at all. He will be acquitted, which sets the stage for a return."
- Eric Macramalla, TSN
Technically, if Carter Hart is a free man, there's nothing stopping him from immediately signing a new contract in the National Hockey League, so this will be a situation to watch closely.
Many experts believe this could all happen very quickly, and that Hart will be in high demand.
Carter Hart, 26 years old, is a 6-foot-2, 196-pound goaltender who was selected in the second round by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2016.
In 227 career NHL games, he has a record of 96-93-29, a goals-against average of 2.94, and a save percentage of .906.
His last NHL appearance was during the 2023-24 season.
Do you believe it would be a good move for a team like the Edmonton Oilers to sign goaltender Carter Hart for the upcoming season?
