After Alex Formenton, a second player has now publicly announced that he will officially be charged in connection with the scandal involving the 2018 edition of Team Canada Junior.
«The lawyers for Michael McLeod state that the New Jersey Devils forward has been charged and will plead not guilty.» - Rick Westhead
While this case has been moving extremely slowly for several months, things are now unfolding very rapidly.
We should expect similar announcements to come for Carter Hart, Dillon Dube, and Cal Foote.
It should be noted that, at the moment, all the players involved have pleaded not guilty.
The National Hockey League will certainly have to make a huge decision about what to do next in these cases.
McLeod, 25, is a 12th overall pick by the New Jersey Devils in 2016. He has accumulated 85 points (29 goals) in 287 career NHL games, including 19 in 45 this season.
