Halfway through the third period of Monday night's game between the Oilers and the Panthers, Barkov had to leave the ice after receiving Draisaitl's elbow on the jaw.
The captain tried to brace himself, but the Oilers forward jumped and extended his elbow, visibly targeting the head.
Florida only got a two-minute power play, and Draisaitl remained in the game.

Head coach Paul Maurice didn't look too happy in his post-game press conference. If there were any good news to share, he would've told it.

Worrying reports came out later, suggesting that Barkov's jaw could be broken, possibly putting an end to his season:
However, in the Stanley Cup Finals, players often push through important injuries to help their team win. Barkov, renowned for his great leadership, could play with a caged helmet, like he did earlier this season and like Zdeno Chara did in 2019.
Unfortunately, it's also possible that Barkov suffers from a concussion, which could keep him sidelined:
As for Draisaitl, the League should make a decision soon regarding his fate.
