Disgusting revelation about David Reinbacher and we can't believe it
As extremely passionate Montreal Canadiens supporters, we can be emotional, and that's part of the beauty of our hockey market, but now, there are those who have seriously, but seriously overstepped the mark.
We simply can't believe it.
According to journalists Pierre LeBrun and Arpon Basu, David Reinbacher has been the subject of thousands of hate messages from some Canadiens fans since the draft.
Unbelievable. The CH organization even had to intervene directly and provide support to the young Reinbacher.
Some messages went even further and turned into personal attacks related to World War II due to Reinbacher's Austrian birth. It's sickening.
The situation has degraded to the point that the management is considering not bringing Reinbacher to North America next season to avoid further adverse consequences.
We are honestly speechless. We're talking about a young man who's barely 18 and just experienced the biggest dream of his life.
This is totally unacceptable, and we sincerely hope the fans will give the young defenseman a chance.
It's sad, because it's a small minority of fans who are giving an entire nation of good supporters a bad look.
Let's send our love to our Reinbacher, the young man deserves it!
