Surprise announcement from the San Jose Sharks involving Mike Hoffman
Some fans and experts still believe that the Montreal Canadiens probably have the worst team in the NHL, but when we compare, we can certainly find solace.
In the last few minutes, the San Jose Sharks have announced their starting lineup for the start of the season, and let's just say they are much less advanced than the Canadiens in their rebuild.
Their lineup is so weak that, to many's surprise, a certain Mike Hoffman is on the 1st line, imagine!
Ouch! Check out the lines and pairings:
Hoffman-Hertl-Zadina
Eklund-Granlund-Kunin
Barabanov-Bordeleau-Duclair
Smith-Sturm-Labanc-Zetterlund
Ferraro-Burroughs
Vlasic-Benning
Thrun-Rutta
Knyzhov-Emberson
Let's just say it's not the scariest NHL lineup, far from it. Their first defensive pair probably belongs in the AHL.
It will be interesting to see if Hoffman, like Jonathan Drouin, can revive his career away from Montreal, but let's just say it still seems very unlikely.
Hoffman, 33, racked up 34 points with the Canadiens last year while playing, on average, about fifteen minutes per game.
