Leafs fans are calling for a trade for Arber Xhekaj, and his trade value is revealed
Last night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Arber Xhekaj once again sent a powerful message across the National Hockey League.
He was impressive, especially against Ryan Reaves, but as Guillaume Latendresse rightly pointed out, the Sheriff also showed once again that he is a good NHL defenseman.
He is a valuable asset for the Habs.
Following the game, many Toronto Maple Leafs fans took to social media to demand that their GM make a trade to acquire Xhekaj.
They want him.
A well-known Toronto journalist, who usually isn't generous with compliments for Canadiens players, even said this:
"Arber Xhekaj not hesitating for a second to drop the gloves with Reaves is why he's gonna be a problem for a long time.»
Rest assured. Xhekaj is going absolutely nowhere, and certainly not to Toronto.
Journalist Anthony Martineau, who covers the Montreal Canadiens for TVA Sports, was asked about Xhekaj's trade value on the market.
See his answer. It speaks volumes and is very accurate.
"His market value is this:
You keep him. (you don't trade him)"
End of story.
It's as simple as that! We are lucky to have him, and he's still so young!
Here's the fight incase you missed it:
