BREAKING: Jake Guentzel has officially been Traded
The wait is finally over, after a long saga the Pittsburgh Penguins have finally traded star forward and pending UFA Jake Guentzel after hours of speculation. He has been traded.
Guentzel traded to the Hurricanes
According to Elliotte Friedman, Jake Guentzel to the Carolina Hurricanes is imminent. It all started with the Hurricanes announcing a late scratch with forward Michael Bunting who is supposedly heading the other way to the Penguins. Bunting, is a former player of Kyle Dubas, back in Toronto.
Hurricanes have been pushing hard with Pittsburgh on Guentzel. It would make sense that Bunting would be part of that package if Carolina can get a deal with the Penguins across the finish line.
