BREAKING: Canadiens have struck a deal with the Ducks
The Montreal Canadiens have opened the eve of the trade deadline with a minor league swap with the Anaheim Ducks. The trade involved two young forwards.
Montreal Canadiens acquire Jacob Perrault
The Canadiens acquired Jacob Perrault from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for young forward Jan Mysak.
Mysak, was the 52nd pick in the 2020 draft, he has 20 points in 48 games this season in the AHL
Perrault, was a 27th overall selection in the 2020 draft, he has 18 points in 31 games in the AHL. Perrault, is also the son of Habs legend Yanic Perrault. The young forward was born in Montreal, Quebec.
Both players could use a change of scenery as they have yet to make a name for themselves on the main roster.
