So his replacement is indeed Brad Shaw, who has been appointed on an interim basis.
Based on the first reports, it seemed Tortorella had resigned, but now the Flyers are saying they've "relieved" him of his duties as head coach.
Either way, it's over for him there.
They've been out of the playoff picture for some time now.
