We had a big surprise in the National Hockey League late Friday night.
Montreal Canadiens fans, at least the majority of them, went to bed after a nightmare evening for Martin St-Louis' squad in the playoff race.
The Canadiens lost in regulation, the Columbus Blue Jackets came out on top, and the New York Rangers had a comfortable lead against the Anaheim Ducks.
However, this morning..Surprise!
We learned that the Rangers completely blew their lead, got caught, and eventually lost to the Anaheim Ducks.. Wow!
A surprise loss by the New York Rangers to the Anaheim Ducks: great news for the Montreal Canadiens
Of course, it was still a tough night for the Habs, but this brings back a bit of hope.
"The Rangers blow a 3rd-period lead and lose 5-4 in overtime to the Ducks.
They're now tied with the Canadiens in points, but have one more game to play."

Yes, the race is extremely tight.
A very tight playoff race in the NHL, especially in the Montreal Canadiens' conference
So here's where we stand:
We've got some crucial games to watch today, notably the one between the New York Islanders and the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Ottawa Senators, and the New York Rangers and the San Jose Sharks.
That surprise loss by the Rangers last night in Anaheim could really hurt them, and could really help the Canadiens.
In your opinion, who's going to clinch that final playoff spot?
