We have an encouraging update for Montreal Canadiens fans. It concerns several of the Canadiens' Russian prospects, most notably the highly promising Alexander Zharovsky.
Now that Ivan Demidov is officially a regular player for the Habs and no longer a prospect, all eyes are now on Zharovsky.
We initially thought the Canadiens' 34th overall pick in the 2025 Draft wouldn't be coming over for quite a while due to his KHL contract, but we've just come across some intriguing news on that front.
At 18 years old, Zharovsky is a 6-foot-1, 163-pound winger who put up 50 points-including 24 goals-in 45 MHL games last season (he had 1 point in 7 KHL playoff games).
