Top Canadiens Prospect Alexander Zharovsky Forced to Miss Development Camp Due to Unfortunate Setback
There is an unfortunate situation that has been confirmed by the Montreal Canadiens organization.
TVA Sports journalist Anthony Martineau was the first to report the news, but it is now officially confirmed.
Despite trying everything and truly wanting to attend the Canadiens' 2025 development camp, young forward Alexander Zharovsky was denied by the appropriate authorities.
He will unfortunately have to miss the event.
The Canadiens announce that young forward Alexander Zharovsky will not be present at the 2025 development camp
Sadly, he had no choice.
"The Montreal Canadiens confirm that Alexander Zharovsky couldn't get his visa settled in time to make Dev Camp."

That explains this situation.
Let's recall that at the very beginning of the second round of the 2025 NHL Draft, the Montreal Canadiens made a trade with the Carolina Hurricanes to move up a few spots and select forward Zharovsky.
This season, the 18-year-old forward (who was 17 for most of the season) recorded 50 points in 45 games in the MHL, and added 1 point in 7 KHL playoff games.
It looks like a strong pick by the Canadiens-especially at 34th overall, given they were eyeing him with their 16th pick.
We can't wait to see him in action!
