He has just been traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for a late-round draft pick.

We wish Primeau the very best of luck! He'll get a fresh start!
This trade also opens the door for Jacob Fowler, who is now expected to take on a bigger role within the organization.
At 25 years old, Cayden Primeau is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound goalie who was originally selected in the 7th round by the Montreal Canadiens in 2017. He had a season of two halves.
First, a very rough start in the NHL (4.70 GAA and .836 save percentage), but later, an absolutely outstanding season in the AHL (1.96 GAA and .927 save percentage with a record of 21 wins, 2 losses, and 2 overtime losses).
Do you think Primeau will become a regular NHL goaltender one day?
Behind Frederik Andersen, who unfortunately is often injured, Primeau could very well get his shot in Carolina.
More details to come.
