It's no secret that forward Josh Anderson had been dealing with an injury for a long time. In fact, he had been carrying multiple injuries for quite some time.
It had been obvious for months, he was playing through pain in every Canadiens game, first to help his team qualify for the playoffs, and then to push Montreal as far as possible.
I have a lot of respect for that!
In the latest article by journalist Eric Engels (Sportsnet), we learn that Anderson suffered a serious knee injury back in December and has been dealing with it for several months.
From what we understand, many NHL players would have chosen surgery and called it a season, but not Josh.
Josh Anderson had been battling a serious knee injury for months
He wanted to stay on the ice no matter what, to help his team.
"Gallagher played through a broken rib, Josh Anderson injured his knee in December and had to deal with several other health issues to keep pushing the Canadiens forward.
The extent of other injuries will be revealed this weekend.
But nothing stopped the Canadiens from putting up a strong series, one that, according to Carbery, probably shouldn't have ended in just five games.
The Canadiens learned what it takes to have a real shot."

So Anderson was dealing with a knee injury since December (!), but number 17 also had to manage several other health problems during that time.
The players now have time to heal, but hats off to Josh Anderson and
Brendan Gallagher!
These two are the real deal!
The Montreal Canadiens are in good hands.
