Arber Xhekaj Finally Reveals What Martin St-Louis Told Him Behind Closed Doors
There were many speculations, opinions, and rumors about what exactly St-Louis was asking of Xhekaj.
The player in question addressed the situation directly and very honestly.
And specifically regarding what his head coach was asking of him, especially during meetings in his office, Xhekaj had this to say:
Arber Xhekaj on his conversations with Habs coach Marty St. Louis:
"Sometimes it's to not cross the line and he kinda keeps me behind the line a little bit. But we have a great relationship and he helps me every day pretty much."

Arber Xhekaj sets the record straight about Martin St-Louis' expectations
This partly confirms what some were suggesting, that St-Louis asks Xhekaj not to cross the line, and it's also understandable.
The Sheriff himself said he 100% agrees with that, and that it doesn't help the team at all if he takes a bad penalty at the wrong time or ends up with a completely unnecessary major.
I really liked hearing that, and it's promising for next season.
As mentioned in yesterday's article, the fact that he was left out of the lineup for several consecutive games is easily explained by the team constantly winning, and as Xhekaj said, "it's not logical to change a winning lineup."
All in all, it's a very positive update today!
