In an interview with Sergey Demidov of RG Media, one of young Ivan Demidov's closest friends, Arseni Gritsyuk, made some interesting statements.
And also revealed the young star went through an unusual physical transformation!
In short, he spoke about number 93's new life in Montreal and shared some interesting anecdotes-yes, even about his famous puppy named Céline.
When Ivan Demidov announced that he had adopted a puppy and named it Céline, the story quickly spread across the web. Many assumed he named her in honor of the legendary Céline Dion, who, of course, announced his draft pick live from Las Vegas.
But according to Gritsyuk, no, that wasn't the reason.
The real reason why Ivan Demidov named his dog "Céline"

"His new puppy, a maltipoo named Céline, just adds to his growing personality.
When the name first came out, many thought it was a deliberate nod to the most famous Quebec singer, Céline Dion, who had the honor of announcing Demidov's name at the NHL Draft.
The story seemed perfect-until Gritsyuk set the record straight.
'I thought he had named her after Céline Dion too,' he said, laughing.
'But Vanya said that wasn't the case. He simply didn't want to give the dog a Russian name; it felt strange.
