The Canadiens may have accidentally leaked Rafaël Harvey-Pinard's replacement
When the organization shared a nice photo of
Patrik Laine and
Nick Suzuki, some sharp observers noticed an interesting detail.
All the names listed in the locker room on the official nameplates are, of course, names of regular players.
In short, the players who will undoubtedly start the season with the Canadiens.
However, there's an "intruder."
Owen Beck already has his nameplate installed in the Montreal Canadiens' locker room
Indeed, there's another forward's name that has been added, and that's Owen Beck.
This could be a clue, it could be a coincidence, but it's certainly an interesting and intriguing fact.
Kent Hughes and Martin St-Louis will therefore need to add a forward to their lineup to replace Harvey-Pinard, but it seems that Owen Beck is in an excellent position to earn that spot internally.
At the end of last season, the nameplate clue in the locker room provided the scoop on
Logan Mailloux's arrival, so it will be interesting to see if the same thing happens with Owen Beck.
What about you? Do you think Owen Beck would be a good replacement for Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, and do you believe he will start the regular season with the Montreal Canadiens?
Owen Beck, 20 years old, is a 6-foot, 190-pound center. He was the 33rd overall pick by the Canadiens in 2022 (2nd round), and he tallied 81 points in 57 games last season in the OHL.
