Ridiculous NHL Schedule Decision for Canadiens Has Fans Outraged at Gary Bettman
We've already reached that time of year when the NHL schedule becomes a hot topic - especially here in Montreal.
Quite simply because the Canadiens undoubtedly have the toughest start to the season among all teams in the NHL. It's very rare to see something like this, but Montreal will open the season on the road against two divisional rivals right away.
"The Habs going back to back away games vs divisional rivals (TOR October 8/DET October 9) to start the season is ridiculous."
- HFTV
In fact, the entire start of the season will be very difficult schedule-wise, and these first two games are a perfect example.
We're also talking about a schedule that will include nearly a historic number of back-to-back games.
"The Habs will play 17 back to back games next season, including their final two regular season games."

And you - what are your expectations for the Montreal Canadiens' 2025-26 season?
Do you believe Martin St-Louis's squad absolutely needs to aim for a playoff spot?
We're definitely looking forward to finding out, starting with training camp this September.
