Renaud Lavoie Finally Reveals Real Reason for Kaiden Guhle's Absence - and It's Not Good
Just minutes before the preseason game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs, we learned that Kaiden Guhle would be pulled out.
This obviously raised many questions.
The Canadiens organization then announced that he was out is out against the Toronto Maple Leafs for "maintenance" reasons.
But we were clearly looking for further explanation.. And that's exactly what TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie has now provided.
Renaud Lavoie Confirms Kaiden Guhle Is Dealing With an Issue
This is obviously not what we were hoping for.
"Kaiden Guhle arrived a little late to morning skate today. Now he's not able to play tonight."
- Renaud Lavoie
He then added the following clarification:
"Just a necessary clarification.
If Kaiden Guhle was the last one to hit the ice this morning, it's because he had some 'maintenance' to do.
He's therefore slightly injured, and that's why he isn't playing tonight." - Renaud Lavoie
At least we're talking about a "slight" injury here, but let's just say it's not the ideal start to the season for an excellent defenseman who has dealt with his share of injuries over the past few years.
Let's really hope he doesn't carry this all season long!
If Martin St-Louis' squad wants to go far this year, they'll need Kaiden Guhle at 100% as quickly as possible.
