Movement Announced in Net Within the Canadiens Organization as Jakub Dobes is Sidelined with Injury
What was bound to happen has happened in the crease within the Montreal Canadiens organization, as a personnel move was confirmed in Laval.
Goaltender Luke Cavallin has been called up by the Laval Rocket due to Jakub Dobes' injury, which unfortunately comes at a terrible time for him.
There is also concern about Dobes' health.
The excellent Anthony Marcotte has just posted about Dobes, whom some would like to see called up by the Montreal Canadiens.
It will clearly have to wait.
«Concern over Jakub Dobes's health. He got hurt with 4 seconds left in the game..
Connor Hughes will be the starter for the Rocket against the Bruins tonight. Luke Cavallin will back him up. This rules out any appearance by Jakub Dobes in goal this weekend due to a lower-body injury. He is not on the ice this morning.»
-Anthony Marcotte Dobes appears to have suffered a lower-body injury.
An ill-timed injury for Jakub Dobes
When he returns to health, I'm quite eager to see if Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton will consider giving him an opportunity with the big club.
After all, Dobes finished last season with the Laval Rocket on an incredible note, he's having a good start to the season this year, and he had a solid training camp with the Montreal Canadiens.
This is a story to watch.
At 23 years old, the 6-foot-5 Dobes has a record of 4-0-0 this season in Laval (with a save percentage of 0.910).
At 28 years old, the 6-foot-4 goaltender Connor Hughes has a record of 2-1-0 this season in Laval (with an impressive save percentage of 0.939).
At 23 years old, the 6-foot-1 Luke Cavallin has a record of 0-2-0 this season with the Trois-Rivières Lions but holds a very solid save percentage of 0.942.
